Tim's February Tag 2015

Hello Everybody!

I am so happy that I had enough time and supplies to make Tim's February Tag for 2015.  For all of the directions click here.

I love the shabby chic of the technique for this tag.  Also, I love the wrapped wire.  But let me tell you that Tim uses a hot glue gun.  That did not work for me.  I had to break out the big glue--E6000.

So here is my tag:

I had to change the placement of some of the elements.  I didn't have the ephemera that Tim used and what I do have didn't quite fit.  So I used papers that I have and a the 14 is a sticker from one of Tim's sticker packs.  I put the lace at the bottom and love it there.  I love the metal frame too!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends....March tag will be here soon! :)

Hello Everybody!

It's the 1st of February so that means it's time for a new challenge at Scrap It Girl!  The challenge this month is to use the color blue and arrows.

Here is my layout:

This was such a fun layout to create.  There's stamping, paste and even some scraps!  There's some Tim Holtz, K&Company, and 7 Gypsies to name a few.

I bought a new metal stencil for this layout.  I used some T.H. walnut stain to mix with the light modeling paste-but that made the paste a little watery.  So you can see where some of the arrows bleed a little bit.  But I thought it added character.  And then the cork arrows are from Fancy Pants.

Be sure to stop by Scrap It Girl to see the rest of the DT's projects-they are so inspiring!  While you are there check out the fantastic prize!

Until next time my friends...have a great day! :)

Love is in the Air!

Hello Everybody!

Today is so exciting since not only is it the first of the month-but it's also the Big Game!  Who are you rooting for? ;)

At House of Cards there is a new challenge-Love!  So if you are getting ready to make Valentine's Day cards or you want to let someone know that you love them-be sure to link up!

Here is the card that I made:

The background is light modeling paste and a Prima stencil.  This is my new favorite stencil.  I used it recently on a scrapbook page.  It is so elegant.  A friend of mine gave me these sequin hearts and the letters are from Paper Studio Gemstones letters (Hobby Lobby).  I love how it turned out!

We can't wait to see what you create! :)

Until next time...Go Pats! :)

Hello Everybody,

There is a new single page sketch over at Stick It Down.  I hope you are as inspired by it as I was!

I bought this fancy stencil just the other day from Hobby Lobby.  It's by Prima-and it has become one of my favorite stencils.  Then I put some papers together from 7 Gypsies and a few scraps.  And the gears are all wood embellishments from Unique Laser Designs.  Some are embossed and others are painted with Inka Gold from Viva.

Here is a closeup of the charms and added embellies.  The postmark is an old sticker (yay use up that stash!) ;)

Here is a close up of the ULD gears.  I distressed them with a little Tim Holtz black paint.

Let me show you the sketch.  You can totally do a girly flowery fun page....or do a little steampunk.  The choice is up to you-I almost couldn't decide flowers are gears.  :)

We look forward to seeing your layouts! :)

Until next time my friends...Woo Hoo!  It's time for the Big Game! :)
