Great Impressions-Halloween Decorations!

Hello Everybody!

Happy Halloween! This week at the Great Impressions Blog everyone has been sharing their Halloween decorations using Great Impressions Stamps.  And now it is my turn! :)

This lil' pumpkin can stand alone or with a few more pumpkins.

I love making this pumpkins.  There are different sizes but I made the smallest.  You take a heavier scrapbook sheet 12X12 and cut it in half (6 inches).  Then you cut strips 5/8 wide.  (I always have to google a calculator to figure this out.  Then you hole punch each strip on each side.  Then you put a brad on each side.  The sides start to bend, and you fan out the strips.

This is a circle stamp here-and I turned it into a spider.  I drew some legs on it and gave it blue eyes.

Here are the goodies to go inside.  So this little guy is double duty-a decoration and a gift vessel!

Here is another picture of the pumpkin.

One more picture.  I used some tulle for the leaves and bendy wire thread for the vines.  I used the following stamps: E551 Too cute Pumpkins (I fussy cut one out from the pair), C406 Little Ghost, A134 Halloween Greetings, and E645 Retro Circles.

To get better directions you can view this Graphic 45 video.  :)

You can check us out on Facebook and on Pinterest! And a new challenge starts on Sunday so be sure to check out November's theme! :)

Have a Halloween! Until next time my friends...keep craftin'! :)

Friday Fun with Great Impressions Stamps!

Hello Everybody!

It's Friday so that means it's my turn over the Great Impressions Blog!  Today I am sharing 2 cute tags for Christmas!

Isn't this snowman soooooo cute?!

The stamps that I used for the front of these two tags are: A71 Snowflake Cluster  and E774 Snow Adorable.  For these tags I took a sheet of tacky red-line adhesive and put on side down on white cardstock.  Then I die cut out these two tags (from a Brenda Walton die/Sizzix).  I punch holes.  Then I took off the other protective sheet exposing the tacky adhesive part.  I poured a micro glitter over the adhesive.  Using Ranger's Archival ink, I stamped on images.  Then I colored the images with Copic Markers.

Here a full picture of the tags.  I outlined one with Red Stickles and the other with Ranger's White Enamel Accents.

I like to make usable tags at Christmas time.  So I stamped on the back B171 To & From.

Be sure to stop by the blog to see lots of Holiday inspiration.  You can also check us out on Facebook and on Pinterest

It's always so hard to believe that Christmas is on it's way again!  I hope everyone has a good weekend!  Until next time my friends...keep craftin'! :)

Hello Everybody!

There is a new 1 page sketch at Stick It Down.  Go by so that you can see all of the lovely versions of this one sketch.  Here is mine:

Most of these papers are from a Recollections (Michaels) Christmas paper pad.  The papers around the picture-1 is a digi Echo Park that I printed out and the black printed paper is from K&Company.  The red foil brackets are Thickers.  And the Dear Santa is a cameo from Webster.

Here is a closeup:

Anytime I can use my hexagon punch is a good day :)  Here is the sketch--hope to see you there!

Cute Halloween Card

Hello Everybody!

At House of Cards this month we are all about die cuts!  I'm on the Cute team so here is what I came up with:

This cute bear in a costume is from the Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  This cartridge is one of my favorites-there are so many great images!

The twine is Maya Arts, the word stickers are Tim Holtz, and the papers on the background and behind the bear are from DCWV.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope we see your card!

Until next time my friends, have a bear-ific day! ;)

Favorite Friday-Halloween Project

Hello Everybody!

Whew!  It's Friday (yay!) and it's time to celebrate our Favorite Halloween Project at Scrap It Girl!  (Double Yay!)

First let me say I love Halloween.  Second let me say I love most of what I make (LOL! I do!).  So to pick a favorite Halloween project-well I had it narrowed down to 3.  They are like my children!  So I chose this pumpkin.  I love this pumpkin because it's easy to make (if you like making punches) but is impactful.  I love 3-d paper things.

This is one of my faves too.  It's from Oct 2011.  That seems so crazy!  It's before my hubby bought me a photo box.  Ahh...my early days in blogging.  :)  It's a tri-fold display.  I used a paper bag as the structure.  The ghost is made from a target bag.

Here are 2 more favorites.  I recently made this with Great Impressions Stamps.  I love pop out cards!

My last favorite is this card.  It one in a Moxie Fab Challenge.  I love these little trick or treaters by MME.  :)

Be sure to stop by and see the rest of the teams favorite Halloween projects.  And be sure to share yours!

Until next time my friends...This is Halloween! :)

Friday Fun with Great Impressions!

Hello Everybody!

It's my turn at the Great Impressions Blog to show you a creation using stamps from the Great Impressions Store.

I used these stamps to create this card:  E551 Too Cute Pumpkins and D330 Happy Thanksgiving.

I used a Tim Holtz Stencil (and that's his Crackle paper for the base).  I mixed So Safron Stampin Up re-inker with light modeling paste to create the spots.  I used Martha Stewart glitter around the circle.  (I really have been wanting to use glitter.  Yay!)  I colored to the pumpkins with Stampin Up stamps.

The sentiment-I cut out and put on the Tim Holtz mover/shaker shape.  Then I added 2 brads and pop dotted it.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I am truly thankful for you guys!  Thank you for the sweet comments also!

Be sure to check us out of Facebook and Pinterest

Until next time my friends...let's get a pumpkin latte! ;)

Paint it Black!

Hello Everybody!

Today it is my turn at the Unique Laser Designs Blog, and I have a refurbished project to show you today.

I bought this mail sorter at a garage sale.  It's nice like it is...

But it is so much better in black!

You can order Happy Birthday from the online store but the other two were custom made.  But I couldn't stop this project here.  Each side is decorated also.

Here I painted daisies and a heart.  I glue all of the pieces on with gloss gel medium by Liquitex.  The flowes here remind me of mums.  Yay fall!

Here is the other side.  I used a watering can and chubby daisies (with one regular daisy).  The water drops are from Recollections (similar to Robin's Nest).

Here is a closeup of the water can.  I painted it red and used my finger to apply Star Dust Stickles to it.

Here is a closeup of the flowers being watered.  I used rhinestones and ric rac to complete them.

I am submitting this project to the challenge going on at Lessology: challenge #41 Beautiful Scenery.  The side with the watering can watering flowers creates a nice scene. :)

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by the Unique Laser Designs store to check out all of the wood embellishments!

Until next time my friends...just paint it black! ;)

Hello Everybody!

I know this was supposed to post Friday-so I am a few days late-please forgive me!  All the candy and costumes are wearing me out-and it's not Halloween yet!

So this Friday at Scrap It Girl we are looking at everybody's favorite Fall Collection.  My favorite is from DCWV.  These two paper pads have been super helpful in my making Halloween and Thanksgiving cards. :)

Be sure to stop by and see the other ladies' collections.  They are "boo-tiful!" :)  Until next time my friends...Have a great rest of your day (no matter what day it is) ;)

Friday Fun with Great Impressions!

Hello Everybody!

It's my turn at Great Impressions Blog, and I have made another Halloween card!  I love love LOVE this spooky house!  :)  I also love Halloween! :)

The stamps I used are: F561 Halloween House, C406 Little Ghost, and A134 Halloween Greetings.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the spider web and then 2 ribbons.  The candy corn is a button and some light and dark orange bling from Recollections.  I used dusty concord, spiced marmalade, and mustard seed distress inks on the Halloween house.  The house is pop up with pop dots and the ghost is tucked underneath it.

The background paper is from DCWV and it already came embossed with a spider web.  I used black soot to bring out the design.

Be sure to stop by the blog to see lots of Halloween and Harvest inspiration.  You can also check us out on Facebook

Until next time my friends...happy hauntings! ;)

Halloween Decor

Hello Everybody!

Today it's my turn at the Unique Laser Designs Blog.  I made this fun Halloween decoration using wood embellishments from Unique Laser Designs, paint, gesso, stamps, and some glue.

For the full tutorial of how this piece is made be sure to check it out here.  But scroll down to see some closeups!

This skeleton is super cool with crackle paint.  And the candy corn came from the nose and eyes of the middle size pumpkin in this set.

This is the paint that I used for this project.

Super cute little pumpkins!

I used ATC's to make the background.  I glued them together with gloss gel medium.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...trick or treat! :)

Autumn Elegance at Great Impressions!

Hello Everybody!

Today starts a new challenge at Great Impressions!  You can play along with whatever stamps you have.  This month the theme is Autumn Elegance. :)

When I think autumn-my mind thinks of turkeys and leaves!  So I stamped F334 Henry the Turkey on a piece of muslin and colored him with Copic markers.  For the sentiment I used D330 Happy Thanksgiving.  I used a burlap like ribbon and some leaf sequins to finish of my card.  I also used a brown copic marker to outline the green base of the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope that you are inspired to join our Autumn Elegance Challenge.  And today is the last day of the sale at Great Impressions.  Be sure to check it out!

Until next time my friends...pumpkin spice is in the air! ;)

Great Impressions Friday Fun!

Hello Everybody!

It's my turn over at the Great Impressions Blog to show you a fun Halloween card.

I thought about how fun to do a pop card!  The measurements for this card can be found here.  This is a spooky close-up of the ghosts and the haunted house.

I used the following Great Impressions Stamps for the pop up card.

These little "boo's" come from the little ghost stamp.  Here is a close up of the front.

Here's 1 of 4 spider webs that were embossed with orange embossing powder.

Here is one side of the box.

Here's is the other.

And this is what happens when you turn out the lights ;)  If you look close you see spooky ghosts. ;)

Be sure to check us out of Facebook and Pinterest!  Until next time my friends...are ya'll ready for Halloween? :)

You and Jack Layout

Hello Everybody!

Can you believe how fast September has gone?  I cannot.  Do you have your costume, Thanksgiving, and your presents wrapped?  Haha!  Now time is really going to go fast! ;)

So there is a new fun challenge at Scrap It Girl.  This month we want to see you use embossing folders on your projects.

Here is my layout:

This layout is from the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disneyworld.  My little guy doesn't normally go around in a Mario costume (though if he did I would be accepting). :)  He loves Captain Jack Sparrow so here we are! :)

For the red paper I used black soot distress ink and the Distressed Background Stamp from Great Impressions.

I used the compass embossing folder from Tim Holtz for this here.  I painted it with perfect pearls.  Also, you see that pumpkin?  That is from Provo-Craft from a long time ago.  It's a rusted pumpkin.  I saw different shapes at a thrift store.  I had not seen them before but I am glad I have used one now! :)

I trimmed a scrap and used the bubble wrap embossing folder from Tim H. and distressed it with black soot distress ink.

I bought a set of those words Tim has just recently.  They deboss.  I don't know what I was expecting.  (I think it's cooler when he uses it) LOL! ;)  The I trimmed the paper and distressed with black soot distress ink-so I like this better now. :)

Oh--and another thing-it's my turn to host this month's challenge. Here's the prize!  Link up-this fun set of goodies could be yours! :)

Thank you for stopping by!  Hope to see your embossed entry soon! --Hugs!
